Holiday Programs

Inforum Academy of Excellence runs an innovative and interactive holiday program to keep students on top of their learning.  Each school holiday program is held over 2 days, 3 hours per day and targets different learning areas to enhance your child’s knowledge and skills and improve academic results at school.

NAPLAN MAXIMISER PROGRAM

NAPLAN is an annual assessment for all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. It tests the types of skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life. The tests cover skills in reading, writing, and spelling, grammar, punctuation, and numeracy. Soon all the testing will be done online, but for now there are some school which will still need to implement it on paper.

Our Holiday program looks at each part of the NAPLAN test.  The objective is to help students understand the test, guide them through by practicing each part and discussing the reasoning behind each answer, while providing them with test strategies and ultimately making the students feel more confident about tackling it.  At Inforum Academy, we believe by doing our English and Maths tutoring during the school term and attending this program will be the ultimate support and help for your child to achieve their best result!

Each day we look at the 3 sections of the test and break the concepts down for easier understanding.

Our Holiday Program incorporates English, Science and Maths, while promoting critical and creative thinking.  It investigates sustainability and encourages students to come up with eco-friendly solutions and apply them to real-world situations.

ACADEMIC WRITING & PUBLIC SPEAKING PROGRAM

In addition to the enhancement of critical thinking, academic writing and debate generates student interest in current world topics. It involves primary students in the examination of important social issues and search for solutions to social problems, which is a vital skill for high school and further education at university.

Our Holiday Program involves learning how to construct and produce a written persuasive argument.  This then connects to the school students being introduced to debating skills and tips, which they will produce and perform in front of their peers!
